'Mystery celebrity' to open village fête

A mystery celebrity guest is set to open a fête in a Cotswold village this Saturday afternoon.

Bledington Village Fête takes place on the village green on Saturday 10th June from 1pm to 5pm and promises to offer entertainment for all the family.

This free, family fun event will feature live music, a dog show, maypole dancing by Bledington Primary School, children's games including the village's famous jousting, face painting, beer tent, hog roast, plant sale, cakes & bakes and so much more.

A spokesman said: "We are also excited to announce the fête will be opened by a special celebrity guest - sorry, it's top secret and you will have to wait and see who it is!"

The Bledington Village Fête is hosted and run by volunteers and local residents with all proceeds from the event going back into supporting Bledington Primary School and St Leonard's Church, Bledington.

Card payments will be accepted at the bar, but visitors are advised to bring cash for activities and stalls.
