Gang of Youths to headline at Barn on the Farm

Aussie alt-rock band Gang of Youths have been announced as the new Friday headliner for this summer's Barn at the Farm.

The music festival runs at Over Farm, Gloucester, from Thursday, June 30, to Sunday, July 2.

Since the release of their debut album, The Positions, which included breakout single 'Magnolia', Gang of Youths have gone from playing intimate pub gigs in Sydney to selling out stadiums and arenas across the globe.

Following the release of their latest album Angel in Realtime, the band have confirmed themselves as 'one of Australia's biggest bands' (NME) having played three sold-out shows in London last year and will now be bringing their electrifying live show to Gloucester.

They will be joining fellow headliners the BRIT and NME award-winning, Ivor Novello and BBC Sound of 2022 nominated Holly Humberstone and New Jersey rock band, and Bleachers, fronted by the eight-time Grammy Award-winning record producer and songwriter Jack Antonoff. There's a special secret headliner booked for the Intimate Thursday, too.

Barn on the Farm is one of the UK's leading independent music festivals that is home to both the indie big-hitters and next year's breakout stars.

Offering attendees a weekend utopia of new music set in the idyllic setting of Over Farm, Barn - as it's known by the regulars - is a festival that encourages collaboration and kinship by bringing together a community of artists and festival-goers. A place where friendships are born and songs have started life, Barn On The Farm continues to provide a cultural hub for new talent.

Entering its second decade, Barn has solidified itself as the festival that artists and revellers remember, and continue to return.

Also announced to join the bill this year is a new special guest Fizz. With bandmates who are still yet to be officially revealed but have already been dubbed an 'indie supergroup', the band will be making their first festival appearance at Barn since their debut at The Great Escape last month.

They will join the likes of Dylan, Olivia Dean, The Staves, Rachel Chinouriri, The Big Moon, Nieve Ella, Feet, Caity Baser, corook, Matilda Mann, Beaux, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, 86TV's, Lily Moore, Tommy Lefroy, Thomas Headon, swim school, Flyte, Wunderhorse, Stone and Katie Gregson-MacLeod.

With intimate Thursday tickets selling out back in August, there are now only the last few remaining full weekend tickets and limited Friday, Saturday and Sunday Day tickets back on sale. There are also the last few Glamping packages back on sale.

In its twelfth year, Barn On The Farm has grown from an intimate friends and family event to one of the UK's most exciting and groundbreaking new music festivals, giving the biggest and most successful British artists including Ed Sheeran and Lewis Capaldi, as well as breakout US stars like Maggie Rogers, their first ever festival headline slots.

Last June, Barn On The Farm welcomed over 3,000 festival goers to the farm.
