Christmas arrives at Westonbirt

As night falls, a colourful glow is emerging from a woodland Christmas village and its surrounding trees.

It must be Enchanted Christmas at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum, which launches tonight (Friday, November 24)

What better than a captivating and stunningly lit landscape creating an enchanting world full of wonder? This year's light trail provides an immersive, multisensory experience for everyone; with the stars of the show one of the most beautiful and important collection of trees in the world, proudly on show in spectacular illuminated style!

On selected evenings from now until Saturday 23 December prepare to be dazzled by this enthralling winter wonderland, filled with sparkling lights and festive surround-sound.

Zoe Tyler, event manager at Westonbirt, said: "We're up and running with Enchanted Christmas, opening tonight! This is one of our favourite events here at Westonbirt, now in its 26th year. Our traditional night-time illuminated adventure will appeal to both children and adults, with the trees lit up enchantingly and with plenty of interactive and festive fun to be enjoyed along the way!"

Soak up some seasonal cheer in the Christmas Village and enjoy festive food and drink from local food carts, selling seasonal food from 4pm - 9pm, along with all the fun of traditional fairground rides.

Helping everyone make the most of their time at Enchanted Christmas, relaxed sessions are on offer Saturday 25 November and 2 December, 4-5pm. At this time the trail is adapted to suit those with additional needs, such as autism, when strong flashing lights, loud sound effects and smoke effects will be temporarily deactivated.

The festive season has arrived. Enchanted Christmas at Westonbirt is the perfect place to make cherished family memories.

Tickets are available through advance booking only, and can be booked by visiting the Westonbirt Arboretum website.
