Albright IP is backing a national campaign aimed at raising awareness of a significant health problem.
The team at the Cheltenham-based intellectual property attorneys has raised £240 for the Brain Tumour Charity by joining its national 'Wear it Out' fundraising initiative taking place this month.
To help kick start the campaign, Albright IP invited staff and suppliers to an afternoon drinks reception to raise money by donning specially designed bandanas to show their support for the charity and help raise awareness.
Albright IP managing director Robert Games said. "We're really proud to be supporting this charity. It's a very worthy cause which needs more awareness around it.
"According to the Brain Tumour Charity, less than two per cent of cancer research funding is spent on research into brain tumours and with over 10,600 people diagnosed each year, this funding just simply isn't enough."
Staff and suppliers got involved and bought and wore the official 'Wear it Out' bandana.
Together they raised £120 which Albright IP matched, taking the total to £240, with all proceeds going to the charity.
This month, the charity aims to raise £150,000, which could fund 600 days of research.
