Sales fall at Monsoon

The owner of Monsoon and Accessorize has reported a drop in annual sales.

Adena Brands said sales were down 4% to £248m for the year to August 2023, as reported by The Times.

Monsoon, which has a store in Cheltenham, and Accessorize, which has stores in Cheltenham and Cirencester, were hit by lower demand due to the cost-of-living crisis and poor summer weather.

The group reported that the 'increasingly difficult trading landscape' of the last year has continued into the current financial year.
