KBW sells a slice of Tewkesbury High Street

Cheltenham-based property consultants, KBW, has sold Tewkesbury's former Barclays bank.

The former bank at 133-134 High Street is now home to Papa Johns.

The bank closed its doors in 2018 and KBW was instructed to find a new occupier for the property on behalf of the then owners.

KBW agreed a sale to a developer, which already had Papa Johns lined up to take the ground floor.

The developer also has ambitious plans for the upper floors. The detail hasn't been released yet, but it looks likely every inch of the property will be put to good use, as a good example of adaptive reuse to meet the changing needs of the high street.

Richard Knightley, senior director of KBW, said: "It's great to see Papa Johns have already injected energy back into the ground floor and to once again see this building being put back to commercial use."
