Gloucestershire company launches same-day service

Gloucester-based Freemans Event Partners has launched a brand-new around-the-clock foodservice logistics offer.

The new service promises delivery from warehouse to site in as little as six hours.

The same-day delivery guarantee will enable event organisers to make last-minute orders. This could prove invaluable for event organisers when unexpected weather changes mean stocks of particular menu items run low.

The offer is an evolution of the company's existing logistics division, enabling it to supply a greater number of event partners across the UK and Europe.

At the same time, BRCGS has again awarded Freemans Event Partners with an AA grade, in recognition of the impeccable food safety and supply chain standards it delivers at some of the UK and Europe's most prestigious sporting events and venues. These include Cheltenham Races, Silverstone Circuit, Twickenham Stadium, Wembley Stadium and Lord's Cricket Ground.

The BRCGS Global Standard for Storage and Distribution is an industry leading accreditation which drives the highest standards in food safety. It is an internationally recognised certification and a seal of quality, known by retailers, manufacturers, food service organisations and raw materials processors worldwide.

Tim Hobbs, director of wholesale and FMCG retail at Freemans Event Partners, said: "Being recognised with an industry-leading accreditation for the 10th year running and launching a dedicated food and beverage service that provides a cutting-edge foodservice solution to the events industry are really exciting next steps for the business.

"The breadth of events and venues we service is extraordinary, and no single event is ever the same. This new offer will help us provide our partners with an even more joined-up service, ensuring they are best-placed to provide fans with the very best choice of food and drink, and the best guest experience possible."
