VIDEO: How does clearing work? Clare Marchant of University of Gloucestershire

With A Level results out tomorrow (August 15), the vice-chancellor of University of Gloucestershire has been explaining how things work.

Clare Marchant told Mark Owen, Punchline-Gloucester.com editor, that universities already have students' results under embargo.

Tomorrow morning, students will collect their results from school or college and will be able to find out from the UCAS portal if they've got their university place.

Clare Marchant said: "If they haven't [got their place], there are plenty of options available and loads of people on hand to support. And that's what I'll be busy doing on Thursday!"
