University of Gloucestershire to host International Women’s Day event

An expert in international business will be the keynote speaker at University of Gloucestershire's International Women's Day event featuring a gospel choir, an exhibition by students, and networking opportunities.

Dr Legha Momtazian, senior lecturer in international business and human resource management within the University of Gloucestershire's Business School, will deliver a keynote speech dedicated to Iranian women.

The university's International Women's Day event - themed 'Embrace Equity' - takes place at the Oxstalls Campus on Wednesday, 8 March between 10am and 1pm. Tickets are free but must be booked in advance.

Guests will have an opportunity to enjoy the performance of a gospel choir and an exhibition featuring work by Art, Illustration and Photography students from the University's School of Arts.

Following Dr Momtazian's keynote speech, students from the University's School of Health and Social Care will take part in a panel discussion, chaired by Aimee Georgeson, senior lecturer in social work, around issues highlighted by International Women's Day.

Aimee Georgeson said: "We're delighted to be hosting an Embrace Equity-themed event for International Women's Day this year. This is a truly celebratory and inclusive event, with plenty of opportunity to learn, enjoy a range of exhibitions, see old friends and meet new people."
