Strong start for apprentices at Cheltenham firm

During National Apprenticeship Week this week, a Cheltenham company is celebrating its apprentices.

North Tower Consulting is a growing business offering bespoke system development and support, service management, systems engineering, IA services and professional IT and cyber solutions.

Mohamed joined the company at the start of the year and is currently studying a Level 3 apprenticeship in software development with Gloucestershire College.

He enjoys being able to be in a working environment alongside his studies. Within a short space of time, Mohamed has found that there is a lot of support available from both Gloucestershire College and North Tower Consulting.

Mohamed said: "It is a close-knit community and everyone has been very welcoming, offering all the support needed."

Jozef also joined the NTC family at the start of the year and is studying a Level 3 apprenticeship in software development at Gloucestershire College.

Before starting his apprenticeship, Jozef completed a degree and decided that he wanted a career in software development. He felt that an apprenticeship was the best way to achieve his aims.

Jozef learns the key knowledge from the apprenticeship course, whilst also seeing how this is applied in a working environment.

Jozef has enjoyed the freedom in the way the learning is provided. He said: "We are encouraged to learn at a pace and style comfortable to us instead of a one-size-fits-all approach."

Both apprentices are already valued members of the NTC team.
