SkillZONE launches new SEN programme

SkillZONE is launching a new education programme for children and young people with SEN.

The Preparation for Adulthood education programme is aimed at children and young people with special educational needs.

SkillZONE and Gloucestershire County Council have collaborated to create the programme, offering young people with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP) the opportunity to use the Gloucester educational centre for safe, realistic and stimulating learning experiences.

Schools will undergo training to effectively implement SEN Preparation for Adulthood objectives using the safety centre.

SkillZONE is Gloucestershire's only interactive life skills village, where people of all ages can learn how to keep themselves safe, whether at home or in their community. It offers safety education and bespoke programmes for schools and community groups.
