Sign up for the launch of GFirst Careers Hub

GFirst LEP is excited to invite schools, colleges, employers and partners to attend its official Careers Hub launch on Wednesday 18th November at 11am.

Punchline is proud to be the media partner for the event, which will bring together a group of 43 secondary schools and colleges to provide a collaborative approach to strengthening the careers information, activities and experiences for their students.

The Careers Hub will be delivered by the Education and Skills Team at GFirst LEP, under the Careers and Enterprise Company guidelines.

A fundamental element of the Careers Hub will be the development of partnerships within the local community, bringing together hub members with businesses, training providers, HE and other stakeholders from the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Members of the Careers Hub will focus on delivering all eight of the Gatsby Benchmarks, which will provide students with a comprehensive careers programme that will support their journey into further training or the world of work.

The Careers Hub launch will be an online event, with the option for live text Q&A, hosted by the GFirst Education and Skills Team via Twitter. The event will be streamed from the new Careers Hub website.

The launch will consist of a collection of short, engaging videos that will introduce the Careers Hub and how it will work in practice. Contributors to the launch will include several key partners and stakeholders, including the Careers and Enterprise Company, local Hub schools and enterprise advisers from the network.

The overarching theme of the launch and the work moving forward is young people in Gloucestershire. With the help of Careers Hub members, GFirst LEP has provided the opportunity for young people across Gloucestershire currently in secondary and FE education, to share their thoughts and feelings on the current climate and any concerns or suggestions around their future employment. These messages will be woven into the launch and will formulate the rationale behind the implementation of the Careers Hub.

The launch is open to anyone interested in finding out more about Careers Hub and supporting the journey.
