New principal for Cheltenham school

A new principal has taken the reins at a Cheltenham secondary school.
Ben Williams started in his new role at All Saints Academy yesterday (June 3).

In a message on Facebook, he said he was looking forward to meeting parents over the coming months and finding out their views on the academy.
Mr Williams has previously worked as a head of maths, head of sixth form and deputy head. He has a lot of experience of working in faith schools, like All Saints.
He said: "Faith schools really excite me because they share much of what I believe in education. That is that each of our students and each of our families is unique, valuable and loved by God. That is the basis for how we look to educate and look to shape their lives."
He continued: "I'm excited because I know the academy has done some great things in the past and it continues to do so. But I am keen to find out from you what you think of the academy as it stands right now and get a sense of what you value and what you think perhaps could be improved. We really are listening to understand that.
"It's been a joy to get to know people so far and I'm really hopeful that I will find out much more in the next few weeks."
