Make UK is approved Kickstart gateway

If your manufacturing business is thinking of offering placements under the Kickstart Scheme, you can work with Make UK as your Kickstart gateway.
The Kickstart Scheme offers six month paid work placements to young people aged 16-24, who are on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment.
To offer Kickstart placements directly through the government, you need to be able to offer 30 placements. If you can offer less placements than that, your business can work with a Kickstart gateway organisation.
Kickstart gateways in the county include Gloucestershire College, Gloucestershire County Council and Stroud District Council.
Now manufacturers' association Make UK is offering its expertise to manufacturing businesses nationwide.
Make UK has a wealth of experience of working with 16-24 year olds in the manufacturing sector. It offers a recruitment solution to many organisations across the UK.
Businesses which use Make UK as a gateway get to keep all of the £1,500 training grant to spend.
Make UK offers a full training package for organisations which wish to buy it.
