Local care company set to boost employment in the area

Whilst many businesses have been hit hard by the pandemic, causing a rise in unemployment, one local company is looking to hire 50 people, with or without experience.

Home Instead Cheltenham & Cotswolds, a company that provides home care services to elderly and vulnerable people throughout the local area, is looking for new caregivers to meet an increase in demand due to the pandemic.

With so many businesses in the area having to close or make redundancies, including Debenhams, Cineworld and Pizza Express, the company hopes to improve the local employment rate.

Home Instead employs caregivers who come from a range of sectors - a wish to make a difference to people's lives is valued over previous experience.

The company provides services from companionship through to personal care and specialised dementia care to people in their own homes.

Of the 50 current vacancies, five are for live-in caregivers and the remaining 45 are required for daily visits to regular clients in the county.

Amanda Hamer, owner of Home Instead Senior Care Cheltenham, said: "Across the South West we are seeing the devastating effects of the pandemic. We are living in uncertain times so, whether you have faced redundancy, want to try something new, or are already performing a caring role, we would love you to consider working for Home Instead. We will provide you with all the relevant training needed and immerse you in our company's values to ensure that the care you deliver to our clients is outstanding."
