Employees of Pret can get more than a job - the opportunity to work towards qualifications with its in-house academy.

The chain, which has a store in Cheltenham, offers professional qualifications through its Pret Academy - with apprenticeships from Level 2 to Level 6.

The Pret Academy has structured learning pathways that provide clear, practical training as well as a range of certified qualifications for team members, team leaders, managers and beyond.

Baristas and hot chefs can train for Level 2 apprenticeships and team leaders can earn a Level 3 apprenticeship in hospitality supervision and leadership.

Nine thousand Pret employees attended a training course at the UK academy in 2019 and over 80 per cent of the firm's managers started out as team members.
