Hartpury University is rated among the top 25 per cent in the UK in both the 'learning community' and 'student voice' categories in the 2021 National Student Survey.

The National Student Survey (NSS) is aimed mainly at final-year undergraduate students, gathering opinions and feedback about their time in higher education. The results are collated from honest feedback about what it has been like to study their particular course at their institution.

A number of Hartpury's courses have scored above 90 per cent for overall student satisfaction, including: BSc Human-Animal Interaction; BSc Sports Therapy; FdSc Equine Veterinary Nursing; and BSc Equine Science.

Hartpury - the only educational institution in Gloucestershire to be awarded Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework - scored particularly well in a number of areas, achieving scores equal to or above the national average in relation to students' teaching, assessment and the academic support they receive whilst at the specialist university.

Nicola Dandridge, chief executive of the Office for Students, said: "The NSS has played an important role in capturing student views during what has been an extraordinarily difficult time for students and university staff. This year's survey provides a valuable picture of students' perceptions about the quality of their course and overall academic experience during a year in which they have had to contend with so much disruption."

While the survey is extremely valuable for institutions seeking to improve the overall student experience, prospective students can also use the data as they decide what to study and where.
