Gaming and porn ‘behind rise in unemployed’

The work and pensions minister is blaming gaming and porn on a rise in unemployed young men.

Mel Stride said easy access to online gaming and porn is driving poor mental health in young adult men and leading to them leaving the workplace, as reported by The Daily Mail.

One in seven men aged 16 to 24 aren't in education, employment or training, according to the latest ONS figures - a total of 900,000 young men. For young women, the figure is one in 10.

Mr Stride said not enough work has been done to look into the impact of technology on young people's mental health.
