Colleges adapt to latest lockdown
By Sarah Wood | 5th January 2021
The government's latest lockdown announcement means further and higher education has moved online for at least the next few weeks.
College students will learn remotely until February half term, while universities will remain online until mid February, except for all future critical worker courses.
On its website, Gloucestershire College said that January 2021 exams will go ahead as planned in Covid secure rooms at the college. The college will also remain open for vulnerable students, children of critical workers and students with an EHCP.
South Gloucestershire and Stroud (SGS) College confirmed that it will be moving to online learning until further notice to help stop the spread of Covid-19. It will continue to offer education onsite for its most vulnerable learners and the children of those who are classed as key workers. Anyone who needs immediate support should email info@sgscol.ac.uk
Remote learning will take place from today (5th January).
