New Growth Hub to open in Gloucestershire this Friday

The latest Growth Hub business support centre is set to open in the Forest of Dean tomorrow, October 8.

Based at Vantage Point Business Village in Mitcheldean, the site promises to offer modern, flexible accommodation and meeting spaces to allow Forest businesses to find their first business base.

Facilities include a large meeting room, co-working, and incubation offices, fast free WiFi, break-out areas, printing facilities, dedicated parking by appointment as well as a tea and coffee station.

It is believed a café and outside seating area will also be added later in the year.

Businesses will be able to access free expert business information advice and guidance and join free training sessions that will be offered in this location.

In-house business navigators and business guides will also be on-hand to offer bespoke support to businesses that show moderate growth and high growth respectively.

Business navigator, Tom El-Shawk said: "The idea of The Growth Hub blew me away. I had no idea that there was anything like this available. The fact that this large new facility is here in the Forest of Dean is so exciting."

Freya Lake, host at the Forest of Dean Growth Hub added: "There is nothing like The Growth Hub in the Forest of Dean currently. It's a brilliant resource for all small and medium-sized businesses to use.

"When businesses come to The Growth Hub, they can expect guidance on where they can get support, advice about funding, help with their business plans and they can even use The Growth Hub as a space to grow their business. There is so much flexibility for how businesses can use and benefit from the working space at The Growth Hub."

Tim Gwilliam, leader of the Forest of Dean District Council, previously said: " "The Growth hub will join the Forest Economic Partnership and the plans for both Five Acres and Cinderford in creating secure foundations for the purest of business needs. It will be a resource that is valued and will link local opportunities with national and even worldwide aspirations."

There are already several other Growth Hubs across the county in Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud, Cirencester and Tewkesbury.
