Polish Heritage Day

Where: Kings Square, Gloucester

When: From 12pm, 11th May

The biggest Polish festival in Gloucestershire is back! This annual festival is organised by Polish Association Gloucestershire and Polish Parish in Gloucester.

Every year, thousands of people gather to celebrate Polish heritage.

This year, they will be celebrating the 250th anniversary of the formal establishment of Polish-British diplomatic relations and the centenary of the renewal of Polish-British bilateral relations.

The day will be packed with many attractions and performances. Local brass band - Gloucester Excelsior Band will mark the day by playing national anthems of both countries.

There will also be traditional folk dancers, children's performances, a fashion show and a concert of the best (not only Polish) rock hits.

The stalls around Kings Square will offer great food, beautiful art and craft and information on travel to Poland.

There will also be DKMS Foundation (bone marrow donor program) registration point, a real engine from the 303 Squadron's Spitfire plane, which fought during Battle of Britain and many more fantastic attractions.

All-day children entertainment has been prepared, to include big bubbles' workshop, circus workshop, stilt walking, big mascots and many more!

You are invited to celebrate one of the most colourful days in Gloucester.

The event is co-funded by National Lottery Community Fund and supported by Gloucester City Council, Polish Embassy in London, Marketing Gloucester and local Polish store Biedronki.
