Hardworking financier Sandra Bayliss received flowers and well-deserved tributes at a house builder in Gloucestershire, as colleagues celebrated her 40-year work anniversary.

Payments manager Sandra, who works in Bovis Homes' regional commercial department in Bishop's Cleeve, has seen big changes since 1978, and praised her colleagues for their support and commitment.

Sandra, who joined the house builder as a payment clerk, said: "A big thank you to everyone. My time here has gone really quickly!

"The one thing about Bovis Homes is the people and over 40 years I've known a lot and there are many good friends who I will miss."

Sandra, who lives in Bishop's Cleeve, will retire from the business in six weeks' time. During her time at the company there have been four chief executives, five regional managing directors and she has reported to six different managers.

Current MD Supriya Ray said: "Sandra has completed 40 years' service at Bovis Homes and on behalf of the company I would like to congratulate her on this feat of endurance! We wish her well in her final six weeks with us before she takes her very well-deserved retirement."

Sandra worked in teams including purchase ledger accounts, office overheads and staff expenses, and as chief cashier before her current role. She worked at three different offices in Cheltenham before the company moved to Bishop's Cleeve.
