WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre going for gold!

Slimbridge Wetland Centre has scored 97 per cent in its recent VAQAS (VisitEngland Quality Assured Visitor Attraction) assessment, again improving on previous high scores with a 1 per cent increase from the 2021 assessment.

Slimbridge is now eligible to be nominated once again for the VisitEngland Gold Accolade.

VisitEngland were highly impressed by Slimbridge's staff and volunteers who were extremely engaging, along with the overall offer and general presentation of the wetland centre.

VisitEngland felt that Slimbridge continues to successfully mix an important educational message about our natural world, with entertainment for all ages.

Visitor Experience Manager Fran Penny explained: "We're really pleased to have once again improved on our score from the last assessment.

"The team work really hard to deliver a great day out to all our visitors and our latest score of 97 per cent recognises their hard work. I'm really pleased VisitEngland enjoyed our new exhibits including Mission Possible and the Living Wetland Theatre."

This visit was undertaken without a family and demonstrates that there is plenty to keep any visitor entertained and interested at Slimbridge whether you are interested in birds or not.

From family visitors to nature lovers, adult social groups and avid bird watchers, there's something for everyone at Slimbridge.
