Winchcombe and Tewkesbury sample fine food and crafts

Tewkesbury Borough will be hosting fine food and craft markets this weekend.
The markets will be operating at:
Winchcombe, Back Lane car park on Saturday, 19 March, 9am - 1pm
Tewkesbury, Spring Gardens car park on Sunday, 20 March, 10am - 3pm
The markets have been made possible by the government's Welcome Back Fund, which has provided councils with funding to support high streets and retail centres, and encourage the return of visitors and residents.
Visitors to the markets will find a great selection of food and drink available, as well as wonderful arts and crafts made by a variety of very talented creators, and the organisers are certain that there will be something to satisfy everybody's taste - whether that is some excellent food as a treat for themselves or a gift for someone special.
Rob Bird, Tewkesbury Borough Council's lead member for economic development, said: "I'm delighted that the Welcome Back Fund has enabled these markets to operate. The fund is designed to help reinvigorate trade in our retail centres across the borough, and holding markets such as these goes some way towards achieving this aim.
"So my message to everyone in the community is - pay a visit, sample the fine food, buy that unique present, and support your local traders."
