The Prince Albert, one of the coolest pubs in Stroud, is celebrating Independent Venue Week with an enticing diary of events between January 29 and February 4.
Independent Venue Week is a seven-day celebration of small music venues around the UK and a nod to the people that own, run and work in them, week in, week out.
The Prince Albert is participating with the following gigs and events:
Monday, January 29, 7.30pm: Honeyblood live from Bush Hall - Digital Tour. To kick off 2018 Honeyblood are playing a special one-off gig at London's historic Bush Hall, which is being live-streamed to select venues around the country. This event is supported by silent disco headphones.
Wednesday, January 31, 7pm: Nine Below Zero Duo. Nine Below Zero's founding members, Dennis Greaves and Mark Feltham, play blues and are performing an intimate, acoustic concert as a duo. These are the first 'old style' blues shows the pair have performed in the 35 years they have been working together. Tickets are £10 available from TicketWeb
Thursday, February 1: 8.30pm: The Sultans of String will be thrilling Prince Albert audiences with their genre-hopping passport of Celtic reels, Flamenco, Gypsy-jazz, Arabic, and Cuban rhythms, fiery violin dances with kinetic guitar, while funky bass lays down unstoppable grooves. Throughout, acoustic strings meet electronic wizardry to create layers and depth of sound.
