Gloucester Guildhall's annual celebration of new music returns to the city on Saturday, March 29.
Underground festival is an annual event hosted by Gloucester Guildhall to showcase the best in new music alongside top local talent.

Filled with 25 of the hottest bands and artists, the one-day multi-venue festival takes over four city centre venues for a music festival filled with the finest new talent.
The event will feature sets from As Everything Unfolds, Lexie Carroll, Ellur, Lake Malice and more across four city centre venues - Gloucester Guildhall, The Thirsty Pine, Gloucester Blackfriars and Café Rene.
Having previously hosted the likes of Bastille, Lower Than Atlantis, Peace and George Ezra, the festival has a history of spotlighting the best of the Underground music scene. The 2025 line-up boasts the best from Alt Rock, indie/rock, pop-punk, ska and folk.
Presented in partnership with Audio Junk Food, the festival aims to showcase the UK's biggest and best in new music, and the finest local talent.

Underground will feature sets from touring artists that boast a long list of achievements so early in their careers:
As Everything Unfolds frontwoman Charlie Rolfe's powerful vocals over catchy guitars and synths has amassed 23,000,000 streams over AEU's first two records and secured support with Enter Shikari, Holding Absence and a Download Festival performance.

Lexie Carroll is a 19-year-old singer songwriter from London, already racking up shows at The Great Escape, All Points East, Reading festival and Introducing playlisting and support at BBC Radio 1.
Ellur writes soaring indie guitar songs drawing plaudits from NME, Dork, DIY, The Line of Best Fit, Clash as well as a key presence on BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music, alongside performances at Reading & Leeds Festivals, BST with Robbie Williams, and supporting Blossoms on tour.
Lake Malice splicing of hyperpop and metal has earned them two nominations at the Heavy Music Awards, support from BBC Radio 1, Kerrang!, Metal Hammer plus support shows with Enter Shikari, Skindred, Vukovi, and slots at Download, Great Escape and 2000 Trees festivals.
Happydaze deliver a perfect blend of catchy hooks, electrifying riffs, and an anthemic sing-along chorus that will resonate with pop punk fans old and new. Following recent tours with The Dangerous Summer and Trophy Eyes, Neck Deep, Boston Manor and Roam, Happydaze show no signs of slowing down.
Alongside hotly tipped touring artists is a wealth of local talent on all stages. Gloucester Guildhall features Failstate, Death is a Girl, Aniya Falls and Red Swan.
The Thirsty Pine, a new venue addition for 2025, features a headline slot from Cheltenham Skate Punk royalty 4ft Fingers, plus Broken Jaw, Sorry Park, Sweetmouth, Redeemon and HKH.
Blackfriars Priory hosts Bottlemoth, Perkie, Saint Senara and George Montague
Café Rene will showcase local favourites All Ears Avow playing a special stripped back set as headliners alongside Mosaic, I The Lion, Truck, Quadrodisco and Dan Cooper.
Underground Festival is a 14+ event though under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Gloucester Guildhall wishes to keep new music accessible to everyone. As such, the festival will operate on a Pay What You Choose ticket model.
If you'd like to join an exciting day of new music in March, customers can pay whatever they like, whether that's £5, £10, £15 or £20. No matter the amount you pay, attendees will receive a wristband to gain entry to all venues. All profits from Underground festival are reinvested back into supporting our developing artist programmes and new music live shows, so we can continue to support the local music community.
Further details can be found at Gloucester Guildhall's website.
Doors open at 3pm on Saturday, March 29. The music kicks off from 3.15pm and runs until 10.30pm.
