Hear the Stanton Warriors' inimitable sound 

Where: Stroud Subscription Rooms

Since bursting onto the scene with their multi-award-winning compilation The Stanton Sessions back in 2001, the Stanton Warriors' have consistently provided the soundtrack to some of the world's biggest and best parties.

Their irresistible and inimitable sound has been heard at East London warehouses, Miami boat parties and illegal Detroit raves, to the stages of Coachella, Glastonbury, Burning Man and Ultra, selling out global tours and topping DJ lists along the way.

In the studio, Bristol's Mark Yardley and Dominic Butler have honed a trademark, uncategorisable sound that is at once all their own.

Celebrating 50 years of Led Zeppelin 

Where: Tetbury Goods Shed, Gumstool Hill, Tetbury

When: Friday, July 27, and Saturday, July 28, 9.45pm

Led Zeppelin fans are in for a real treat later this month with two nights of tribute music at the Tetbury Goods Shed.

On Saturday, July 28, Whole Lotta Led - The UK's leading Led Zeppelin tribute band - play a concert celebrating 50 Years of Led Zeppelin from 1968 - 2018.

Tickets are £18 in advance and £20 on the door (special discount tickets for both nights are available)

Village fete in a lovely Cotswold setting 

There's plenty of fun to be had at a traditional village fete in the Cotswolds this Saturday afternoon (July 28).

Compton Abdale Village Fete is being held in the beautiful garden setting of Lower Farm in the village near Northleach.

There will also be games and activities for the whole family and musical entertainment will come from a silver band.

A major highlight of the fete will be the fun dog show which starts at 3pm.

Steam railway stages biggest-ever diesel gala 

There's always a good reason to visit the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway but visit between Friday and Sunday, July 27-29, and it will have become the 'Gloucestershire Warwickshire Diesel Railway'!

That's because the popular annual Heritage Diesel Festival takes place with a spectacular range of locomotives in action, taking in the newly-opened extension to the delightful Cotswold village of Broadway.

Celebrating Women in the Arts and Crafts movement 

Where: Court Barn Museum, Chipping Campden

When: Friday, July 27, to Sunday, October 28

In celebration of the 1918 Act which first gave some women the right to vote, Court Barn Museum in Chipping Campden is showcasing the work of three females associated with the Arts and Crafts movement.

All three had links with Gloucestershire but very different skills. The best-known, May Morris, was a designer, needlewoman and political activist. Louise Powell was a calligrapher, embroiderer and painter while Nelly Erichsen was an artist and illustrator.

Special events include, on Saturday, August 11, at 11.30am, One-on-One: Researcher and author Sarah Harkness on Nelly Erichsen and her links with Chipping Campden.

On Saturday, October 6, at 11.30am, One-on-One: Barbara Alderton on the Life and Art of May Morris.

These informal events are free, however you need to pay to enter the museum. They last about half an hour.
