By David Wood | 20th February 2020
Where: The Park Campus, Cheltenham GL50 2RH
When: Saturday, February 22, 10am - 3pm
Cheltenham Vegan Fair will take place at the Park Campus, part of the University of Gloucestershire, on February 22, and will be an epic celebration of all things plant-based.
This is the first vegan fair in Cheltenham for three years and the new organisers, who are the team behind both Stroud and Cirencester vegan fairs, are excited to be bringing their event into Cheltenham.
As well as having a fantastic line-up of vegan traders and businesses selling everything from delicious food and treats to cruelty-free beauty products, there will also be a full programme of talks on veganism, environmental issues and animal rights, as well as a Vegan Human Book Library which will provide a safe, friendly, non-confrontational way for people to explore veganism and the issues around living as a vegan.
The aim of the event will be to give people the opportunity to sample and discover a wide variety of artisan, plant-based products made by independent businesses and learn more about the popular lifestyle that has been adopted by millions across the UK.
There will be outdoor street food from Cheltenham locals The Hogless Roast and Those Vegan Pizza Guys as well as comfort food from Bristol based Two Broke Girls.
Inside the university there will be a marketplace with plant-based products from local businesses with 45% of the traders being from Gloucestershire and 32% from neighbouring counties.
They'll be selling everything from vegan baked goods like cakes and pies to chocolate, cheese and nut butter. There will also be a range of non-food items for sale such as cruelty-free beauty products, ethical clothing and zero-waste products.
The organisers also announced that 97% of the traders at the event are single-use plastic free.
Entry is £2 (kids go free) / free entry to Gloucestershire University students with valid ID.
