The Cotswold Show is back this weekend!

One of Gloucestershire's biggest family events takes place this weekend (August 14 and 15) at Cirencester Park.

The Cotswold Show, which was originally set to take place over the weekend of July 3 and 4, has been rescheduled to this weekend.

This year's show promises a huge array of family attractions. The most phenomenal act will once again return to The Bathurst Arena, known as Atkinson Action Horses, who will be performing twice daily. Ben and his team have spent the past 20 years training horses and riders for Film and TV.

With recent credits from Poldark, Victoria, Peaky Blinders, The Living and the Dead and Hippopotamus - it is guaranteed this elite force has at some point invaded your TV screen!

Get ready for an astounding display of tricks and stunts normally reserved only for TV and the big screen. All in front of your very eyes. Tricks/stunts include Roman riding, drags, falls, pick ups, flips, horses rearing and laying down. Be prepared for your heart to be in your mouth as you watch the riders demonstrate astounding acrobatics.

One of the most thrilling classics that everyone loves to see flying around The Bathurst Arena is the British Scurry and Trials Driving who will be racing against the clock around an obstacle course. Marvel at the skill of the drivers, the bravery of the grooms and the agility of the ponies as they take on a course made of cones, barriers, arches, and anything else they can lay their hands on!

All sizes and shapes of ponies can take part so miniature ponies can be flying around trying to beat Welsh cobs around the twisty course.

Within the Bathurst Arena will also be an inciteful yet gripping polo demonstration from Cirencester Park Polo Club, the hilariously educational dog and duck show and even more to be discovered on the day!

The Apsley Arena will be host to some more of the best trained animals from gun dogs, ferrets, otterhounds and Wessex K9's dancing dogs! Amongst the animal acts in the Apsley Arena will be some wondrous performing arts demonstrations from Cotswolds Gymnastics Club, Cirencester Creative Dance Academy as well as Ninja Tots.

With the show ground chock-a-block full of activities and spectaculars, visitors will need to make sure to check the programme, so they don't miss their favourites in this arena.

No one will be going hungry this weekend. As always, there is a delicious selection on offer at this year's Show. Forty producers will be featured in the Food Hall selling some delicious offerings such as cheese, charcuterie, relishes, breads, cider, and cakes.

The show is delighted to welcome back recreational tree climbing for children and adults! Climb one of the many trees in the magnificent Cirencester Park under expert supervision and tuition, in absolute safety. The less able can simply be pulled up to experience the joy of being within a tree's canopy without any physical exertion.

If you would rather watch your children enjoy themselves free-range, there will be an incredible bouncy castle and other inflatables available for all the bounding and bouncing needs a child could possibly have! If the kids have a need for speed, then they will be in their element racing around the blow-up go kart ring.

After last year's cancellation - only the second in the show's 32-year history - organisers are promising to bring back the excitement with the return of the buzzing main arenas, filled with show-stopping attractions once more.

Entry is £15 for adults (under-14s free) and the show will be open from 9am to 6pm on Saturday and 9am to 5pm on Sunday.
