The ARB Show returns to Westonbirt Arboretum

Where: Westonbirt Arboretum, near Tetbury

When: Friday, May 17, and Saturday May 18

The Arboricultural Association Show 2019 will take place in the idyllic setting of Westonbirt Arboretum tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday.

Always a highlight on the annual calendar, the ARB show sees arborists and other tree care professionals come together to celebrate the science of trees, to discover the latest tools and kit, and much more.

Members of the public are also invited to join in the festivities, and there will be the chance to gain tree care help and advice from professionals, watch exciting demonstrations from tree surgeons and main show sponsor STIHL, and to see the thrilling UK Climbing Competition, which has daring climbers testing their skills high in the canopy of Westonbirt's magnificent cedars.

There is also plenty to keep the family entertained, with a kids' tree climbing area, a zip wire, and back by popular demand this year - a climbing wall!

Paul Cody, head of visitor attraction at Westonbirt Arboretum, said: "We are thrilled to be welcoming the ARB Show back to the Arboretum for the third year running.

"The show gives our visitors an exciting opportunity to meet the professionals who work with the nation's trees. Westonbirt's youth forum, Wild Westonbirt, will be showcasing some traditional tools such as the cross cut saw, and making woodland mobiles for children."

Entrance to the show is £10 per adult (which includes access to the Arboretum) or free for members of the Arboricultural Association, the Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum and ISA members.
