Tetbury artists staging winter exhibition

Local artists from the Tetbury area are showing off their skills in an exhibition at Tetbury Goods Shed.

Tetbury Art Society Winter Exhibition opened a couple of weeks ago and runs until Christmas Eve, open Wednesdays through Sundays from 11am to 4pm.

The society was formed in 1976 by Roy Baker, one time Mayor of the town. Its object is to promote the appreciation and practice of the Visual Arts. Roy was the society's president for many years; HRH The Prince of Wales is the current president.

Members come from Tetbury and the surrounding villages and towns and range from professional artists to self-taught improvers and beginners.

Members come together to share expertise in a friendly and helpful manner using various media, styles and techniques. Some members also meet at the village hall in Shipton Moyne on Monday afternoons.
