Talented musician to perform at Dick Whittington's Gloucester

Where: Dick Whittington's, Westgate Street, Gloucester

A gifted musician who plays pop, rock, blues and folk is heading to Gloucester on Friday night for an eagerly-awaited gig.

Jess Mason-Wilkes AKA Martha Makes Mistakes, is an exceptionally talented artist who is visit Dick Whittington's, Gloucester, from London.

Jess, who will perform a set of her music, has had a busy few months gigging in London and around the UK and in August she played Fairport's Cropredy Convention in Oxfordshire.

Tom Bull, landlord of Dick Whittington's, is looking forward to Friday's gig and many more like it in future.

He said: "We are trying to promote Dick Whittington's as a music venue in Gloucester. We are trying to put bands on pretty much every Friday and Saturday evening.

"We are also looking for local artists who are looking to exhibit their artwork in the pub or local bands or performers who we can showcase. We need to reach the whole county to tell them what we're up to."

Things are moving forward at Dick Whittington's which today was installing a pool table and juke box.
