Take a jog with your dog for charity

Where: Pittville Park (West), Cheltenham

When: Sunday, August 26, 10am

Dog owners are being encouraged to take part in a Jog for Dogs event in Cheltenham on Sunday morning (August 26).

Families are welcome to join Cheltenham Animal Shelter and the Mayor of Cheltenham, Cllr Bernard Fisher, for the fun three-mile run or walk around Pittville Park.

Costing just £5 to enter, every finisher will receive a certificate, doggy treat and spot prizes on the day.

James Clay, fundraiser for Cheltenham Animal Shelter, said: "The event happened a few years ago and we've brought it back especially for the Mayor's Charity.

"We've had a few pre-registrations but we are hoping lots of people will turn up on the day and take part in this fun event."

Jog for Dogs will raise money for the Mayor's two charities, Cheltenham Animal Shelter and the Pied Piper Appeal which helps to make a difference to the lives of sick and disabled children across the county.
