Stroud youth event showcase for local bands

Where: Stroud Subscription Rooms

When: Friday, July 13, 6pm-10pm

This summer, Stroud Town and Five Valley's Youth Forum is holding an under-18s music night; Now That's What I Call Stroud!

Held at the Subscription Rooms in the centre of Stroud on Friday, July 13, the night will feature live performances from seven local youth bands including; Bones Like That, Rotorua, Drifted, Daniel Kostine, Placenation, Danger Noodle, and The Official Unprecedented.

The event is open to all young people between the ages of 13 and 17 across the Stroud District, and with live music from 6pm-10pm promises to be a fun-fuelled night of great entertainment.

During the evening there will be the opportunity to buy soft drinks from the Sub Rooms bar, and to mix and mingle with other young people from across the Stroud District.

The concept for this event came about through several Youth Forum Group meetings, where members were concerned about the future of the Sub Rooms, and about the lack of things for young people to do in and around Stroud.

This event gives young people the opportunity to take part in an event tailored to them in their local town, as well as showcasing the Sub Rooms as an accessible venue for young people, and giving Stroud District youth the opportunity to support their local heritage.

After costs of running the event have been covered, 15% of any remaining ticket sales will be donated to a local Stroud-based charity of the Youth Forum Group's choice.
