Where: Prince Albert Inn, Rodborough Hill, Stroud
When: Saturday, January 12, 8.30pm - 10.45pm
The Prince Albert welcomes back Stroud favourites Solomento on Saturday night.
Solomento play an uplifting World fusion, East African vocals and rhythms with a Latin/Ska 'Caribbean' backbeat.
Solomento perform their 'acoustic' set using traditional Cuban and Mento instrumentation with baselines driven by double bass and or Marimbula.
Playing all original material, their unique 'Solo-sound' is warm, groovy, happy and engaging. Vocals are in Giryama, Kiswahili and English.
Solomento are Stroud favourites, creating musical love and an outstanding show at the Albert many times before and at Stroud Fringe in 2016.
