Snowdrop walk kicks off springtime events

Stroud Valleys Project (SVP) has a host of events coming up this spring.

These include two dry stone walling weekends, an Eco Clothes Swap, and, to bring a touch of springtime joy, a Snowdrop Walk on Sunday, February 19, from 10am to 12 noon.

Popular Stroud naturalist Caroline Aistrop, a long-time friend and former employee of SVP, is bringing her in-depth knowledge of wildflowers to a Snowdrop Woodland Walk in a little-visited area of woodland near Tetbury.

With Caroline's passion and the snow-white carpet of spring flowers, it should be a really magical morning.

It's £7 for adults and £3.50 for children, and Friends of SVP get a 20% discount when booking.

SVP's now legendary Eco Clothes Swap returns on Saturday, 11 March - bring along your unwanted clothes by Friday, 10 March and receive your voucher to swap them - for FREE. It's lots of fun and a great way to recycle old clothes...and get 'new' ones!

And hurry - places are filling fast on the March dry stone walling weekend, with sessions delivered by expert waller Bo Bark; there is another weekend taking place in April. It's £150 per person, including all equipment and materials.
