Where: Lansdown Hall & Gallery, Lansdown, Stroud GL5 1BB
When: Friday, June 29, 7.30pm
An American-based all-acoustic band is dropping in on Stroud for one night only.
The Cody Sisters Band is a three-piece who perform fast-paced folk, modern bluegrass, country, Americana, gypsy jazz and incredible sister harmonies all rolled into one!.
These young sisters and their bass player have established themselves as one of the true acoustic treasures on the Colorado bluegrass and folk circuit.
Their beautiful harmonies, incredible instrumentation, and original songs and sound always leave a lasting impression.
They're coming towards the end of a UK tour and have been selling out venues across the country.
The Cody Sisters are being supported by Stroud's own The Lazy Susans who will be performing the opening set.
The Lazy Susans' eclectic sound mixes Western swing with Johnny Cash via The Levellers, and features close-harmony singing, crazy fiddles, accordion, double bass and guitar. A hoe-down is guaranteed and dancing may occur!
Tickets for the gig are £12 in advance from Trading Post, Kendrick Street, Stroud, or online from theticketsellers.co.uk or £14 on the door.
