See a music legend at an iconic venue

Chart-topping singer Tony Christie is performing at the beautiful Tithe Barn in Bishop's Cleeve on Sunday, October 24 - and there are still some tickets available.

The 77-year-old Yorkshire-born crooner is best known for his hit song (Is This the Way to) Amarillo?, first released in 1971, which in 2002 was used in the TV comedy series Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights, leading to a resurgence in his popularity. The song was re-released on 14 March 2005 to raise money for Comic Relief and reached Number 1 in the UK Singles Chart.

Tony will be performing all of his greatest hits with his amazing band, so be prepared for the likes of Avenues & Alleyways, Walk Like A Panther and I Did What I Did For Maria.

Event organiser Lee Noble said: "This last 18 months have been a very difficult time for the events industry and we were heartened to see so many of you at Georgie Fame. However, we do need your support for the upcoming Tony Christie concert in order to be able to continue putting on shows at the barn.

"Owing to the cost of bringing such names to the area, we have been lucky that most things have broken even, been hugely well supported and we've been able to continue. We never take your support for granted and it's always very much appreciated.

"This show could well be the last unless we are lucky enough to receive a very busy, or a full house as continuing with low sales isn't possible for us at this time.

"We do appreciate all the support you have shown to the concerts over the years and if possible, we plan to continue to bring you as many lovely nights of music as we can.

"We really hope to see you there and anyone booking, please be assured, that this will only take place if it is allowed and should the show have to be cancelled, everyone will receive a full refund."

Don't miss your chance to see a true legend in the beautiful surroundings of Cleeve Tithe Barn.
