Sarah McQuaid to perform two concerts in Gloucestershire
By David Wood | 24th April 2025
Cornwall-based singer-songwriter Sarah McQuaid will be coming up the M5 in the summer to play two intimate concerts in Gloucestershire.
Sarah has embarked on a 49-concert tour of Europe and the UK which features new songs and plans for a new album.

She will be performing at The Folk of Gloucester in Westgate Street on Wednesday, May 28, at 7.30pm and at Forest Folk Club, Sling, Coleford, on Sunday, June 1, at 8pm.
Sarah said: "I've been working hard on writing my next album and it's been great being able to try out the new material live in concert. During the warm-up tour the reaction from audiences to the new songs was fantastic, lots of whoops and whistles, so I'm looking forward to taking them further afield and maybe adding others as we go along.
"The plan is to record the new album this summer — hopefully in my new home studio — and release it early next year.
"I've got this great big derelict garage adjoining my house and it's got a nice high peaked ceiling with beams running across it — I've already tried singing in there, so I know it's a lovely-sounding space. All it needs is the walls tanked, the roof repaired and the windows and doors replaced, and it'll be great!
"It's a massive project to undertake, but I'm confident that between touring and crowdfunding I can make it happen."
Tickets for the Folk of Gloucester gig cost £15 and are available here while tickets for the Coleford concert are £8 and available on the door (cash only).
