Retro Americana returns to Pittville
By David Wood | 10th January 2023
The stunning grounds of Pittville Pump Room and Pittville Park will once again be transformed into an all-American stars and stripes weekend as a nod to the American requisition of the iconic venue 80 years ago.
The festival, which takes place on the weekend of Friday 23 - Sunday 25 June 2023, is free to attend and visitors will be transported back to the 1940s and 50s era with live music, classic vehicles, food and drink, trade stands, children's entertainment and dance demonstrations. Open 10am - 4pm.
The weekend features 'Gasoline Alley' showcasing Chryslers and Cadillacs, muscle cars, customised hot rods to military Jeeps and motorcycles.
Plus, they'll be a 'whole lotta shakin' goin' on' with various live bands performing throughout the weekend, from 1940s swing, rockabilly, Rock n' Roll to country.
With pop-up guest DJ slots, free dance lessons, American-themed food, licensed bars and more...it's guaranteed to be a great free weekend out for all the family y'all!
Want to bring your Classic or American vehicle? Pre-1985 classic cars and American vehicles are now invited to exhibit at the festival.
The event is free to attend, but pre-registration is required to guarantee space within the lawns.
Prizes will be awarded for 'Best in Show' and 'Best Americana dress'.
