Family fun at Over Farm summer trail

Gloucester's Over Farm has an array of events on every day of the summer holidays to entertain children of all ages. The local farm famous for its farm shop, music festival and Halloween events is branching out into family fun events over the summer.

Yesterday (Monday July 26th) the company launched their summer trail, including a different themed event each day of the week and other activities alongside.

This includes exciting tractor-trailer and quad bike train rides through the fields, a new football golf course and a maize maze. Other attractions that have been around for a couple of months include fun jumping pillows to take all the energy out of little ones (that's always a good thing, eh?), a double high slide and a bird hideout.

The timetable of events is as follows:

Magic Mondays: Magician Adam Allsortz joins the Over Farm family for a hilarious children's variety show with his fun and silly bag of tricks.

Circus Tuesdays: Circus act Mr WOW shows off his skills. Viewers are told to 'expect the unexpected'.

Reptile Wednesdays: Children can get wild with roaming reptiles, a fun, hands on, interactive and educational experience involving reptiles.

Fantasy Thursdays: Interactive storytelling with amusing and silly games can be enjoyed with the company Kindred Characters. Fairies Kizzy and Sophalina will bring every character to life from the pages of their magical stories!

Science Fridays: Kids can learn interactively and be inspired by Fizz Pop Science.

Superhero Saturdays: Pop along for fancy dress competitions, meanings parents need to dig out the dress up box!

Farming Sundays: Children can get up close and personal and learn about the farming machinery, getting to sit on top of tractors and more.

Tickets can be purchased for £10 per child and £9 per adult. On entry, you will be given a card to be stamped, with the third visit being free.

Visitors can also book slots for 'pick your own' (PYO) strawberries and raspberries. If those slots are booked between 10am-12pm and you pick 1kg of fruit, you can get a free coffee in the newly refurbished Over Farm shop café.

Tickets for both the summer trail and the PYO can be purchased here.
