Nailsworth Noel looks like being one of the best yet

Where: Nailsworth

When: Friday, November 29, from 3.30pm to 11pm

Nailsworth Noel - the town's highly popular start to Christmas shopping - will take place this Friday evening (November 29) and it is looking like it may be one of the best yet!

This year's Noel will be packed full of attractions, including a Winter Wonderland - and hidden in there will be Santa in his magical grotto. Don't worry about the weather, as Snow Business will be completing a white out of the town to make sure it's seasonally snowy.

The Noel evening is full of family attractions, including a fun fair; a farmers' market with food, drink and crafts; a classic car show; a local Denis Brown & Sons steam engine; and a river of light illuminating the town's stream.

Elsa from Frozen will also be joining in the evening as she is a friend of Mrs Claus!

Music comes courtesy of Nailsworth Silver Band, Stroud Rock Choir, The Resolution Band and DJ Dubbu, St Dominic's School Choir and Shine on stage.

There are plenty of traders there too so please bring money with you to treat the ones you love while also supporting local businesses.

There will be lots of food and drinks stations - including Jamaican food and pulled beef and pork rolls - so make sure you don't eat before you come!

Markets and the fair begin from 3.30pm. And the Christmas magic really kicks off when Mr and Mrs Claus lead a festive parade around the town - joined by the children of Nailsworth - starting from the fire station at 5pm. The evening finishes at 11pm.

A park-and-ride service, courtesy of Rover Coaches, is available from 4.30pm at the Barn Site, Avening Road; and from 6pm at the Blue Diamond Garden Centre, both until 9.30pm.

The event is brought to you from the Nailsworth Chamber of Trade and Commerce.

If you park in the Barn Site car park the gates do not close until 11.45pm giving you time to collect your car.
