Mother and daughter to host Autumn food and craft fayre

A fabulous fayre full of culinary delights and exquisite crafts is coming to Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice this September.

Organised by Tracy and Elizabeth Berrey, who own Berrey Pick N Mix in Cheltenham, the event takes place on Saturday, September 9th, and will feature around 30 stalls jam-packed with delectable food and creative crafts, plus live music and entertainment.

Inspired by the "amazing work" of Sue Ryder staff, this will be Berrey's second fundraiser having already raised £180 through selling sweet treat boxes containing confectionary chosen by staff at the Cheltenham Sue Ryder hospice - with a brand new 'Retro' sweet treat box being launched at the event too.

Tracy said: "We're excited to be hosting our first Autumn Food and Craft Fayre for Sue Ryder this September. We will have everything from woodwork to beautifully designed pots and, of course, plenty of sweet treats, brilliant bakes, and hot food, as well as some talented live entertainment.

"A huge thank you to everyone who is supporting us by signing up to showcase the best of local food and crafts our county has to offer. We can't wait to see everyone there on the day helping us to raise vital funds for our much-loved Sue Ryder hospice."

As well as fun for all the foodies and shopping galore, there will be family entertainment from The Music Man as well as a performance from Winchcombe Abbey Primary School Choir, a brass band and displays from Shotokan Tora, Gloucestershire.

There will also be traditional games for the children including hook a duck and name the bear at the stands led by Sue Ryder volunteers.

Tamsin Grainger, community fundraiser at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, said: "The fayre, set against the backdrop of the spectacular Autumnal hospice gardens, is shaping up to be a fantastic day out for all the family. A huge thank you to Tracy and Elizabeth from Berrey's Pick N Mix for their continued support.

"We would also like to extend our thanks to the local businesses who have signed up to support Berrey's, plus our amazing volunteers - some of whom will selling their very own handmade items - with all funds raised helping our hospice to provide more expert and compassionate palliative care and bereavement support to more people."

Gates are open 10am to 4pm at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, Church Road, Leckhampton, Gloucestershire, GL53 0QJ.
