The newly-opened Thirsty Pine Beer Cafe in Gloucester has a busy weekend ahead with live music on three consecutive days.
The Brunswick Road venue gets to show off its new lighting and sound system for the first time on Friday night with an evening showcasing four local and upcoming Gloucester acts. Headlining are Mirages, grungy, bluesy indie rock from the Forest of Dean. The night is being supported by the Bristol Brewery Lost and Grounded, with a limited edition cask of Keller Pils pouring straight off the bar.
Saturday Night sees Monkey Jam take to the stage. This four-piece covers band from Cheltenham kick off the future of The Thirsty Pine as the first Saturday night band performing on the new kit, with some classic hits to get Saturday night bouncing.
Sunday afternoon will feature the first Sunday session in the new beer cafe. Talented duo Ritchie Dave Porter and Debra Susan perform their rock, southern rock and blues. These award-winning artists won 'International Duo of The Year' silver award in Atlanta Georgia in August.
The Thirsty Pine is already making a name for itself with The Groove Jacks playing a great set on Saturday night.
Andy Holian, the businessman behind The Thirsty Pine, said: "It was another good night with positive feedback for the venue and the music. We continue onwards and upwards."
