Julia Donaldson to appear at Stroud Book Festival

The one-and-only Julia Donaldson will be joining Stroud Book Festival 2019 for a very special family event on the morning of Saturday, November 9.

Former Children's Laureate Julia Donaldson's extraordinary canon of work, which includes The Gruffalo, Stick Man, Room on the Broom and Zog, has catapulted her to the very top of the bestseller charts, with over 17 million copies of her cherished classics published worldwide.

Stroud Book Festival's children's artistic director Jane Churchill said: "I have worked with Julia since the early days of her career and I couldn't be more thrilled that we have the chance to welcome her to Stroud this year for what promises to be a truly fantastic event."

Tickets for Julia Donaldson's event will go on sale this summer via the Subscription Rooms box office, full details to be announced.

This year's Stroud Book Festival will be held from November 6-10 at venues around Stroud and the full festival line-up will be revealed in the coming months.
