The StarBistro at the National Star College at Ullenwood is holding its first Jazz Evening this Friday (June 14).
As part of its monthly events programme, the StarBistro is delighted to welcome 'The Stolen Chocolates' to the bistro.
Sit back and enjoy the music, accompanied by one of StarBistro's delicious homemade sharing platters.
'The Stolen Chocolates' are a talented local jazz trio who play a combination of standards and funky jazz tunes featuring vocals, keys and tenor sax. From Fly Me to the Moon to Chasing Cars, this trio will delight your evening with the smooth sounds of timeless music.
Platters will include sliced meats, smoked fish, pâté and local cheeses with sourdough bread, our own flavoured butter, chutneys and pickles - all locally sourced and homemade where possible.
National Star works with people with disabilities, helping them to realise their potential.
Pete Johnson, head of social enterprise at National Star, said students would be working at front of house and in the kitchen.
"This is the first musical evening we've done," said Pete. "We're dipping our toe in the water. We're looking to do open mic and folk events and that kind of thing."
Tickets for the jazz evening cost £18 and are available via the National Star website or by calling 01242 535984.
