Indie covers band, disco and rugby at The Thirsty Pine

A popular indie covers band and a well regarded local DJ will be appearing at The Thirsty Pine, Gloucester, this weekend...and don't forget the rugby!

The Indieciples, who play classic 90s & 00s indie covers around Gloucestershire and Worcestershire, will be taking to the stage of the Brunswick Road venue at 8.30pm on Friday (February 7). Entry is free.

On Saturday, DJ Damo will be spinning the discs at an 80s disco night from 8pm, so get your dancing shoes on! Entry is free all night.

Last weekend saw punters flock to The Thirsty Pine for the first round of Six Nations rugby.

This weekend the venue will be showing all three internationals on its two big screens. On Saturday Italy kick off against Wales at 2.15pm, England take on France at 4.45pm and on Sunday Scotland play host to Ireland at 3pm.

Andy Holian of The Thirsty Pine said: "We had a great weekend for the opening round of Six Nations fixtures. We had a very positive turnout with the two large screens and the inviting atmosphere we have created. Hopefully we can build on that throughout the tournament."
