In Pictures: The Script at Westonbirt Arboretum

Dublin's finest, The Script appeared last Thursday night (14 June) at Westonbirt Arboretum, near Tetbury, on the first night of the annual Forest Live summer concert series organised by the Forestry Commission.

Lead singer of The Script, Danny O'Donoghue pleased an energetic crowd as the band headlined Westonbirt Arboretum on a beautiful June evening.

Scottish singer-songwriter, Tom Walker did a great job of warming up the crowd with hits such as a cover of 'I Took a Pill in Ibiza' as well as his own songs 'Fly Away with Me' and 'Just You And I'.

With his set coming to an end, Tom got everyone moving with his highly successful single 'Leave A Light On' which has recently broken out into the UK's Official Chart top ten for the first time.

Tom commented on how grateful he was for the headliner, The Script once again choosing him as their support act.

Right from the get go, The Script had the whole audience mesmerised by their top notch vocal skills and constantly exhilarating stage presence.

Starting with 'Superheroes', the lively and passionate first song of The Script's fourth studio album 'No Sound Without Silence', the band left many of their well-known hits such as 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved' and 'Hall of Fame' until later in their set.

The Irish rock three-piece connected with the audience and added to the intimate atmosphere with Danny himself coming down from the stage to meet the screaming fans during his third song 'Paint the Town Green'.

The concert lived up to its informal and relaxed atmosphere within the setting of a spectacular forest backdrop in rural Gloucestershire. Those of all ages soaked up the sun with their families, enjoying picnics and getting in the groove.

Throughout the set, Danny talked about how no one should be left alone and how music brings everyone together, thanking the Forestry Commission for putting on such a great show for "The Script Family".

Income generated from ticket sales helps to look after the nation's forests sustainably, for people to enjoy and wildlife to thrive.
