Hospice plans festive Reindeer Romp event

Longfield Community Hospice in Minchinhampton is inviting local residents to take part in its annual Reindeer Romp event, at Stratford Park in Stroud on Sunday, 12 December.

Offering festive fun for the whole family, the event gives locals the chance to walk, run or jog 5K in reindeer boppers, with a welcome hot chocolate and medal at the end, whilst raising vital funds for Longfield.

Aspiring reindeer rompers can either sign up and pledge to raise sponsorship for the event or make a one-off donation. Alternatively, participants can choose to take part in the event virtually and pick their own 5k route, with event packs (including boppers, medal and hot chocolate) being sent via post.

Vicki Hayward, community and events manager at Longfield, said: "The fundraising elves are already hard at work organising this fantastic event. Why not take part in this festive challenge and help us raise vital funds to support our patients and their families this Christmas?

"Everyone is welcome - bring along your friends and families for some fun in the fresh air. We even have bandanas for dogs!

"We'd love to have you on board and value each and every donation. All funds raised will help us to continue our free care and support for patients, their families and carers, 365 days a year."

The recommended donation is £10 per participant.
