Hop along Hare Trail for free family fun

Where: Across the Cotswolds and beyond

When: Until Sunday, September 9

The Cotswolds AONB Hare Trail promises the perfect day out for families across the region, without breaking the bank.

Now in full swing, the unique public art trail features over 128 vibrant hares, springers and leverets, hand-painted by local artists to the theme of living andscapes in the Cotswolds; promoting sustainable tourism and celebrating its rich history, natural diversity, agriculture, crafts, culture and businesses.

Take on a free family challenge of spotting all of the hares as you enjoy days out visiting the four corners of the Cotswolds, from Stratford-upon-Avon to Bath and all the cultured cities, timeless towns and pretty little villages in between.

If you haven't yet, take a tour of the South Cotswolds zone, which spans Slimbridge, Stroud, Tetbury, Wotton and more, and features famous farmers' markets, winding walks, National Trust treasures, fairytale cottages and the unmissable WWT Wetland Centre.

Plus, there are extra special mini trails in Stroud, Dursley, Farringdon and Stow-on-the-Wold.

Promising more than one free fun day out this summer, the Cotswolds AONB hare trail offers something for everyone, from art enthusiasts and culture seekers, to boutique shoppers and social snappers - not forgetting some fresh air and exercise for the little ones too.

The trail is open to the public until Sunday, September 9, when the hares, springers and leverets will hop to auction to raise funds for trail partner, Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in particular the Caring for the Cotswolds visitor giving scheme and Glorious Cotswold Grasslands.
